Retreat Description

The 6 Nights 7 Days Intense Yogasana with Meditation Retreat at Bodhidham Yoga and Spiritual Retreat Ashram offers a rare and immersive encounter with the classical practice of yoga. Over seven days, participants are guided through the foundational pillars of yogic discipline, including the eight limbs of Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga, structured asana sequences, pranayama (breath regulation), and seated meditation, while developing a sustained personal sadhana rooted in these practices.

Central to this retreat is the principle of tapas, the disciplined and sustained effort that defines authentic yogic practice. As days progress, participants gradually move from introductory sessions into longer, more intensive practice, creating the inner conditions for asana to move from physical exercise into direct experience of the body-mind connection. Tapas is not strain. It is the steady fire of commitment that allows the body to open, the breath to deepen, and inner stillness to arise of its own accord.

The daily rhythm balances morning asana sessions, pranayama, seated meditation, and mindful movement. Guidance is provided by experienced teachers who draw from authentic Himalayan yoga lineages. Personal adjustments and one-on-one sessions are available to support each participant’s individual practice.

This retreat is held in Nepal, the land where the rishis and yogis of antiquity refined the practices that became the foundation of yoga, and where the tradition has been lived continuously for centuries. The environment of Bodhidham, surrounded by the Himalayas and the sacred energy of this land, provides a uniquely supportive container for this kind of inner work.
