Overview

200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal, Pokhara

The 200-hour course is Bodhidham's core teacher training and the standard route into teaching yoga. It runs for 21 residential days in Ghachowk village and is Yoga Alliance RYS 200 registered.

Over the three weeks you cover the full practice: Hatha and Ashtanga asana, pranayama, meditation and yoga nidra, mantra, philosophy and ethics, anatomy, and teaching methodology with supervised teaching practice. Small groups mean every trainee gets real attention. You finish able to plan and lead a class, and registered to teach as an RYT 200.

Our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is a comprehensive, Yoga Alliance RYS 200-certified program set in the peaceful village of Ghachowk, Nepal. Over 21 intensive days, students immerse themselves in the full spectrum of yoga: asana (Hatha, Ashtanga), pranayama, meditation, yoga nidra, mantra, yoga philosophy and ethics, anatomy and physiology, teaching methodology and practicum. The curriculum is structured to provide both the theoretical foundation and the practical confidence needed to teach yoga professionally. Our small group sizes (maximum 8 students) ensure each participant receives personalised attention and genuine teacher mentorship. All meals, accommodation, study materials, and certification are included.

Why the 200-hour course?

  • A complete grounding in asana, alignment, breath, and how to teach them.

  • The reasoning behind the practice, through philosophy and anatomy.

  • Hands-on correction and teaching practice in a small group.

  • A Yoga Alliance registered certificate, so you can register as an RYT 200.

  • Teachers trained in the Himalayan and Rishikesh traditions.

  • 20 nights on the ashram, three organic meals a day, course materials, and Pokhara pickup.

  • Kirtan and cultural evenings in the Ghachowk Village.

While staying in Pokhara the Swami invited us to a wonderful ritual, that happend on full moon in Mai 2024. Because of his great energy we took a Yoga class the next day. His teaching was really high quality and thanks to him we started the day full of great energy. We came back to meditate in the evening and I really wished we could stay longer. Highly recommend a visit. It' s really worth it.
